I won’t bother to link to the series of scandals that have beset the discipline of Philosophy over the last few years (since I trust you’ve met Google), nor will I spend much time recounting just how backwards Philosophy is in terms of gender equity (do the math). Let’s just stipulate that it’s an unfriendly, often hostile, environment for women: intellectually, professionally, culturally, economically and countless other adverbial ways.
