HELP SUPPORT LOCAL MEMPHIS MUSICIANS!

To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Center for Disease Control has urged U.S. citizens to cancel all events of more than 50 people and to practice social distancing for the next 8 weeks. Cities and states across the nation are ordering all bars, clubs, and restaurants to close.

No doubt, the same will happen in Memphis very soon.

Although these restrictions are difficult for everyone, Memphis’ musicians and entertainers are especially hard-hit by “social distancing” mandates, because they depend on performing live (and generating tips from those performances) to make ends meet.

This virtual tip bucket is for local musicians to share their CashApp, PayPal, and/or Venmo information so that fans, friends, and the larger community of Memphis music lovers can continue to support them.

Many of us would regularly be patronizing bars and clubs, but we are unable to now that we are socially isolating. You can still support local musicians. Just click the link below, find your favorite local performer, and send a “virtual tip” directly to them.

[NOTE: This website is NOT collecting money. We are only “virtually” connecting musicians with their fans. Your money will go DIRECTLY to the musician you choose.]

These are strange times, indeed, but Memphis wouldn’t be Memphis without our musicians.  Let’s take care of them now, so they can return to us when we are all healthy again.
